Sunway Property has recently launched Sunway Majestic, its first project in Johor Bahru City Centre (JBCC) and the city hub’s very first SOHO apartments. With freehold period, a site simply 3 kilometres from the upcoming Johor Bahru– Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link, and next to Sunway Commercial Square, the property is logically placed for both own-stay purchasers seeking city-centre advantage and clients aiming to catch cross-border leasing requirement.

According to an independent research by Milieu, commissioned by Master Community Developer Sunway Property (June 2025) to assess Singaporeans’ interest rate in Johor properties, nearly half (48%) of evaluated real estate applicants are thinking about Johor Bahru for their next purchase– 83% of whom already own property in Singapore.

Sunway Majestic marks Sunway Property’s first development in JBCC and the city hub’s first SOHO apartments. Sunway Majestic has 1- to 3-bedroom SOHO units starting at RM400,000, with the possibility to personalise under Sunway Property’s distinct Design to Own concept. This cost point sits well just within the selection sought by 72% of surveyed buyers (RM1 million and listed below), the Sunway press release claims.

Johor is benefitting from significant policy and facilities catalysts. The Johor– Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), formalised earlier this year, is expected to draw in substantial financial investment and business circulations. On the other hand, the RTS Link, linking Bukit Chagar (JB) to Woodlands (Singapore) by late 2026, will trim cross-border trip to just six minutes.

” Homebuyers here are discerning and believe long term,” claimed Gerard Soosay, Sunway Property Chief Executive Officer (Southern Area). “Johor Bahru’s appeal is actual, but expectations are higher: communities have to be safe, linked, and versatile to cross-border lifestyles. That is the requirement we are building towards. Our duty as Malaysia’s Master Community Developer is to fulfill this evolving landscape with a long-lasting sight, co-investing in the places we develop and staying true to our promise of being With You For Generations.”
