Wing Tai partners Pathlight School to turn River Green’s hoardings into vibrant student art showcase
The collaboration with Pathlight School is going to take the form of an art competition for its secondary and vocational track students. The initiative aims to improve the hoardings around the River Green building and construction location right into “a lively, spreading neighborhood art canvas, presenting the talent and creativeness of Pathlight School students,” Wing Tai stated in a news release.
” Art has constantly been a specifying component of Wing Tai’s developments– connecting and improving the neighborhood whilst increasing the setting,” claims Edmund Cheng, deputy chairman of Wing Tai Holdings.
It marks Pathlight’s initial partnership with a realty builder to showcase its students’ artwork on this type of a platform and scale.
Wing Tai gotten the government land sales (GLS) site at River Valley Green (Parcel A) in June in 2024 with a proposal of just less than $464 million, or $1,325 per square foot per plot ratio (psf ppr).
According to Linda Kho, senior head of Pathlight School, “Art is an effective kind of self-expression that permits our trainees to share their unique perspectives.” She adds that the joint effort with Wing Tai showcases the students’ talents, constructs their esteem, and encourages them to further establish their creative interests.
Property property developer Wing Tai Asia released on April 15 that it has works with Pathlight School on a community initiative at its upcoming housing property development, River Green. The 525-unit plan at River Valley Green in top District 9, is projected to be launched sometime in 2H2025.
” While hoardings typically act as safety and noise barricades, we are delighted to change them right into a dynamic canvas including artworks inspired by the River Valley and Singapore River precincts,” he adds. “This effort presents an one-of-a-kind possibility to involve with the local community and honor the creative thinking and ability of budding young artists from Pathlight Academy.”
The competition’s concept will focus on River Green’s surroundings– including the Singapore River, the River Valley place, and the neighbourhood’s architectural ancestry. It was released in early April, coinciding with Autism Awareness Month. Winning and picked avenues will be presented on River Green’s 200m hoarding around Kim Seng Linear Park for the next three years.
